There's a long history of political involvement in my family. My great, great grandfather sat as a first member of Parliament. His name is in the Great Hall in this building. I used to think politics was all about Prime Ministers and voting and it bored me. That switched up. First, a Prof at Queen's who taught International Studies showed me it wasn't just about how many seats there were in government. He had the whole class glued to every word! The second shake up, I'll tell you about later. It's about what the word "politics" actually means and how an eccentric teacher at Dalhousie explained it. Curious story.
Beginning in February 2016, I'll be teaching Political Science 12 at Citadel High School in Halifax. Feel free to have a look at the unit headings at the top left, browse the content, and leave suggestions or useful teacher resource links as a comment on the Contact page. Enjoy!
